Google Doodle celebrates 30 years of World Wide Web

World Wide Web(www) is celebrating 30 years anniversary on Google Doodle. Google Doodle celebrates 30 years of World Wide Web through Doodle on today 3rd of March 2019. English scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented www in 1989 and wrote the first web browser in 1990.

While working in the Switzerland based CERN company, Berners-Lee put forward the original concepts of WWW in a proposal that included Fundamentals like HTML, URL and HTTP.

In the document titled ‘Information Management: A Proposal’, he envisioned the use of hypertext to link documents. www, commonly known as the Web, is an information place where documents and other web resources are identified by the Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

The first web browser was released in the year 1991, which was started for research institutes and then on the Internet the same year for the general public.
